Background-
Kendra Scott has appointed Adrienne Gernand as its first chief business officer as the company steps up its global expansion and plans to grow beyond its core jewellery business into new product categories.
The new role, effective April 27, has been created to support the brand’s transition into what it calls the “House of Kendra Scott”. The company said the appointment will help strengthen its growth strategy as it expands internationally and builds a wider lifestyle portfolio.
Chief executive officer Chris Blakeslee said Gernand has a strong record of identifying high-growth opportunities. He added that her experience across complex retail environments makes her well-suited to support the brand’s expansion plans and global ambitions.
Gernand has experience in retail, wholesale, licensing, and real estate. At Gap Inc., she held senior roles across Old Navy, Banana Republic and Athleta. She also worked at The Children’s Place and gained experience in large retail operations and brand development.
The company is expanding beyond jewellery into categories such as eyewear and footwear. It is also investing in experiential retail and lifestyle-focused offerings. Recent initiatives include the expansion of its sub-brand Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott.
Gernand said she is excited to join the company at a time of strong growth. She added that she aims to build on the company’s customer-focused approach and help develop a strategic partnership network that supports its global expansion goals.
Kendra Scott said the appointment reflects its focus on long-term growth, category diversification, and strengthening its position as a lifestyle brand in global markets.
